We were invited out to shoot the Charli XCX Brat themed “st. bratty’s day” for Greta YVR. Night clubs aren’t our natural habitat but they are filled with people and energy, two of the things we love most as photographers.
Long before we started shooting together professionally, we had learned to deal with shooting in challenging lighting situations. At Greta, it was dark. Apart from the neon glow of the arcade games and a few colourful lights for the dance floor, the light was basically non existent. At least as far as our cameras were concerned. Good thing we know how to use our flashes!
In true Muckers fashion, we didn't just stand back and take photos of the dance floor. We made our way right into the middle of it. That’s where the best work happens. Lots of sweat and spilled drinks, but also great photos.
We think it’s quite clear that everyone who attended st. bratty’s day had a great night. We did too. When our camera’s are involved, we always do.
